What are the different types of heating? Forced Flow Heating An active heating system that circulates coolant with an electric pump. • Push the coolant through the system • Provide uniform heat distribution throughout the system • Eliminate cold & hot spots
Thermosiphon Heating A passive heating system based on thermal convection that circulates the coolant. • Installed at or below the engine cylinder block coolant level • Natural convection circulates the coolant within the system • Available in a broad range of voltage and wattage options
What is the best heater for your application? Select the appropriate circulation heater based on the total wattage needed for your application. Wattage is based on: 1. Engine size (L)
2. Minimum ambient temperature the engine will be operating 3. How quickly does the coolant need to be at operating temperature
